Designed specifically for the scrap
metals industry, the RC/2 Portable Radiation
Detector is an extremely effective handheld detector that utilizes a large
32 cu. in. internal PVT plastic scintillation
detector (up to 40 times larger than
most other portable units). In addition
to Gamma and Beta radiation detection
capabilities, the RC/2 is also sensitive
to Neutron radiation produced by Am241/Be
and Cf252 neutron sources of the type
commonly used in soil density gauges.
Portable detectors, using Sodium Iodide
or Geiger Mueller internal detectors,
cannot offer this capability. |
